Shrimp Alfredo with Pasta

A 15 minute meal 

1 cup cream:  821

8oz pasta:  300

3TBL butter:  306

1 egg yolk:  55

½ cup grated Romano or Parmesan cheese:  216

20 medium shrimp:  100

Pinch of salt

Pinch of nutmeg

Granulated garlic (optional)

 

Total calories for 2 servings:  1798

Calories per serving:  899

 

Melt butter in sauce pan. Add cream over medium heat. Add cheese…stirring continually until melted. Add spices. Slowly stir in whisked egg yolk. If you desire a thicker sauce, you can add a 1 tablespoon of corn starch with ½ cup water. Add to the sauce. Simmer for 3 to 5 minutes. Add the fully cooked and thawed shrimp to the sauce.  Spoon the sauce and shrimp over al dente cooked pasta (linguini or rotini).
