The Common Sense Party of America (CSPOA)
The Common Sense Party of America (CSPOA)
Taken from Common Sense
In England a king hath little more to do than to make war and give away places; which in plain terms, is to impoverish the nation and set it together by the ears. A pretty business indeed for a man to be allowed eight hundred thousand sterling a year for, and worshiped into the bargain! Of more worth is one honest man to society and in the sight of God, than all the crowned ruffians that ever lived.

The Common Sense Party Platform
1. Every citizen shall have an avenue to contribute to the good, benefit and prosperity of the whole. Some kind of mandatory service to the country, of no less than 2 years, shall be expected without regard to gender, religious belief or sexual orientation. This shall include, but not be limited to military service. In this, any assistance, government programs and benevolences given to citizens, at any stage of life, for a variety of needs, will have been contributed to by each individual. A distribution of public resources and goods will be directly tied to a contribution of Time, Energy & Money from the individual. Care for the physically and mentally disabled will be a priority. Service to the country will enhance feelings of ownership, pride, respect and support for the community as a whole.
2. The Party Platform shall strive to set its parameters as broadly as possible and promote what is decent, fair, reasonable and in the best interest of all. Extremes of the left or the right will be avoided. This will not satisfy the unrestrained desires of the far left liberals, nor the rigidity of the far right conservatives. There is a huge middle ground of Common Sense that will be the aim of the Party Platform.
The rest of the platform will need to be fleshed out with the help of the multitudes of smart folks who join up
