Why I would not choose to purchase Ben&Jerry’s products.
- They aggressively (the company, not some individuals named “Ben” and “Jerry”) use an ultra liberal agenda to market their product. Nor would I support using an ultra conservative agenda to market products. Examples: views on social justice, the environment and constitutional rights.
- They promote and agenda that directly supports and advances terrorism.
- They promote a strategy of negotiation, compromise and peace making attempts with terrorists and their deadly agendas, by making no distinction between terrorists and their countries of origin. In other words, “you should not kill a known Iranian terrorist, because we do not want to engage in acts of violence against Iran. They see it as the same thing.
- They (the corporation) are prolific expressing their views in order to persuade individuals to adopt a liberal agenda and all of its issues (which I believe is their constitutional right to do). However, they support passing a 28th amendment to the U.S. Constitution that definitively severs corporations/companies from having any constitutional rights. Which is it? They want the Constitution to apply to their agenda, but not to an agenda that differs from their stated purposes. That (as they are fond of claiming) is not a democracy.
Here are a couple of links to their own statements, so you can
determine for yourself if my assessment is correct or flawed.
